Pistols On My Mind Empty
PostSubject: Pistols On My Mind   Pistols On My Mind I_icon_minitimeTue Oct 25, 2011 7:59 pm

I have been trying to decide what guns are best for women. Got a 38 already, but would like to know what other pistols are suitable for women to handle? Weight is a big issue with me as I have weak hands. On some pistols the safety is hard to get to easily and in a bad situation I don't want to be trying to flip the safety off while trying to defend myself. Any comments will be welcome.

I saw in another post that you didn't like the semi-auto, but I will say that the .32 caliber pistol is a good gun for women, though it is semi-auto. The Kahr E9 is also a very good gun which is also semi-auto. Both of these guns are very light. The real problem is that it's very subjective. What one woman likes is not always what another woman likes. The .38 revolver is a pretty big gun, so I understand your concern. I would really suggest going to your local gun shop (maybe look online for reviews of it) and asking to try a few out. It's very important to find a gun that you like.

Try a Glock G26. It's a subcompact in a 9mm so shouldn't kick much. If the G26 is too small move up to the G19 compact.

The G19 is an amazing gun. I own 2!
