What is your budget like?
Also, are you wanting something to last a long time or something to show your friends?
The reason I ask is because many manufacturers make an AR-15, but it really depends on your budget and what you want out of it.

just for me. But I will be shooting it often and would love for it to last. I'm not rich, but could spend maybe 1500 on it.

Some people feel as though Colts are overpriced, but I personally believe it's because they're the best AR manufacturer around. I would suggest a good colt if you want it to last.

I have heard such mixed reviews on bushmaster. Some people love them and some hate them. I've never personally owned one though. It's nice to hear someone else likes them. Then again, sometimes people just don't take good care of the gun and blame the gun.
